Jim and myself (Bob) started Radio Prank back in Oct 2001 to lighten up the high stress environment of our workplace and it has since become popular and a great enjoyment to run.

SYSTEM NEWS 06/29/08

Hello all,

On July 1st we will but shutting down our shoutcast streams and will be broadcasting on Live365 only. In 2008 the station has exploded in popularity and with the raising costs of streaming and royalty payments that came along with it we managed to use our entire 2008 budget in 6 months. We will be sticking with Live365 because of the affordability but the main reason is we know it is frustrating to our listeners to be going back and forth from live365 and shoutcast and the last thing we want to do is frustrate anyone :) I know Live365 is a crummy option do to the ads they throw at you in the player but at least we will be broadcasting live so there will not be any in-stream audio ads. I understand that moving over to Live365 will upset a great number of our listeners but at this point it is our only viable option.

** Auto-Requests 05/30/08 **

The Auto-Request feature that so many wanted implemented is now in place. The system allows 2 requests per hour with a total amount of 10 requests per day. To remain legal with the RIAA requests follow the industries playlist rules so if you get a message stating the track you want can not be played most likely trying a little later on in the day will be successful.
